Consider motion to approve the solid waste permit renewals for April 1, 2017 – March 31, 2018.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

In accordance with the City of Ankeny Code of Ordinances Chapter 111, "Collection of Solid Waste," the following licensees have submitted renewal applications which have met all requirements and are now being presented to the City Council for approval. Copies of license applications are available for review in the Office of the City Clerk.

1. Midwest Solid Waste d/b/a Ankeny Sanitation, Inc., 221 SE Magazine Road, Ankeny, Iowa

2. Aspen Waste Systems, Inc. d/b/a Aspen Waste Systems of Iowa, Inc., 1800 E. Euclid Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa

3. Waste Connections of Iowa, Inc., 4705 NE 22nd Street, Des Moines, Iowa

4. Waste Management of Iowa, Inc., 201 SE 18th Street, Des Moines, Iowa

 

5.  Chamness Technology, Inc. d/b/a Green-R-U, 2255 Little Wall Lake Road, Blairsburg, Iowa 

 

6.  Green Waste, Inc., d/b/a Earthwise Disposal, 3423 Delaware Ave., Des Moines, Iowa
FISCAL IMPACT: Yes
Each licensee has paid the annual license fee of $200.00 to the City of Ankeny, in accordance with Section 111.07 of the City of Ankeny Code of Ordinances.
CITY MANAGER'S RECOMMENDATIONS:
Approve the issuance of solid waste permits.
