PH 2017-30: Proposed amendment to the Zoning Regulations, Chapter 192, of the Municipal Code of the City of Ankeny, by rezoning certain real estate owned by Classic Development, LLC from R-2, One-Family and Two-Family Residence District to PUD, Planned Unit Development.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

Classic Development, LLC is requesting to rezone approximately 18.61 acres of property from R-2, One-Family and Two-Family Residence District to PUD, Planned Unit Development. The subject property is located east of NW Irvinedale Drive, approximately a quarter mile north of NW 36th Street.

CITY MANAGER'S RECOMMENDATIONS:
PREVIOUS COUNCIL/COMMISSION/BOARD ACTION(S):
On April 4, 2017 the Plan and Zoning Commission recommended City Council approval of the Villas at Brinmore Estates rezoning request from R-2, One-Family and Two-Family Residence District to PUD, Planned Unit Development.   On April 24, 2017, the developer requested to withdraw rezoning of Brinmore Estates development.  On April 24, 2017, staff mailed letters to affected property owners of the request to withdraw and of the cancelled public hearing.
PUBLIC OUTREACH EFFORTS:
Legal publication notification and notices mailed as required. 
ACTION REQUESTED:

Action: Consider motion to receive and file correspondence received from Civil Design Advantage on behalf of Classic Development LLC, dated April 24, 2017, regarding withdrawal of application to rezone property located at 4175 NW Irvinedale Drive. 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Public Hearing cancelled per correspondence received from Civil Design Advantage on behalf of Classic Development, LLC, dated April 24, 2017, withdrawing application to rezone property owned by Classic Development, LLC from R-2 to PUD.
