The action before the council is the adoption of a resolution accepting a proposal from Absolute Concrete Construction, Inc., for the 2017 Northcreek Park Recreation Trail Improvements project.
The 2017 Northcreek Park Recreation Trail Improvements project includes the removal of existing HMA trail in Northcreek Park and replacement with 5” PCC trail from NW 9th Street to NW Cedarwood Drive in the City of Ankeny.
Other associated improvements include pavement removal, earthwork, drainage improvements, sidewalk removal and replacement, full depth PCC street patching, minor traffic control, erosion control, surface restoration and miscellaneous associated work necessary to complete the project.
Bid invitations were sent to twelve (12) contractors that can complete this type of work. One (1) bid was received for the project as follows:

In recent years, the City of Ankeny has used Absolute Concrete Construction, Inc., to perform construction services and their work has been good and was completed in a timely manner.
