The SE Sharon Drive Sanitary Sewer Replacement - Phase 2 project is now complete including all final surface restoration.  A series of actions are needed in order to close out this construction project: 

a. Engineer's Certificate of Completion: The attached Certificate of Completion from the project engineer states that the work performed was in substantial conformance with the plans and specifications and that the final contract amount is $818,920.48.

b. Resolution accepting the public improvements:  This resolution approves and adopts the engineer's Certificate of Completion on the SE Sharon Drive Sanitary Sewer Replacement - Phase 2 project and establishes the final contract amount to be $818,920.48.

c. Retainage Payment - J&K Contracting, LLC $9,827.04

It is recommended that the retainage payment be approved for payment 31 days from the date of acceptance of the project, in accordance with the terms of the contract.

It is recommended that the council take the following actions: 

1. Accept the Certificate of Completion from the project engineer for the SE Sharon Sanitary Sewer Replacement - Phase 2 project.

2. Adopt the resolution accepting the SE Sharon Drive Sanitary Sewer Replacement - Phase 2 project with J&K Contracting, LLC in the final contract amount of $818,920.48; and 

3. Authorize and release retainage payment in the amount of $9,827.04 in accordance with the terms of the contract.

February 1, 2016: Council ordered construction and set dates for bid letting and public hearing.

March 7, 2016: Council held public hearing, adopted plans, specifications, form of contract and estimate of costs, awarded construction and approved construction contract and bonds.
