The actions before the council are the approval of the final change order, acceptance of the certificate of completion, passage of a resolution accepting the public improvements and approval of the final and retainage payments to Absolute Concrete Construction, Inc., on the Ankeny Market and Pavilion - Additional Amp Parking project.
The Ankeny Market and Pavilion - Additional AMP Parking project is now complete. A series of actions are needed in order to close out this construction project:
a. Final Change Order: Change Order No. 1 is the final change order. It will decrease the contract by $593.50 by adjusting various bid items to match the actual field-measured quantities.
b. Engineer's Certificate of Completion: The attached Certificate of Completion from the project engineer states that the work performed was in substantial conformance with the plans and specifications and that the final contract amount is $68,241.80.
c. Resolution accepting the public improvements: This resolution approves and adopts the engineer's Certificate of Completion on the Ankeny Market and Pavilion - Additional AMP Parking project and establishes the final contract amount to be $68,241.80.
d. Final Payment - Absolute Concrete Construction, Inc. $64,829.71
Retainage Payment - Absolute Concrete Construction, Inc. $3,412.09
It is recommended that the final payment be approved for payment now and the retainage payment be approved for payment 31 days from the date of acceptance of the project, in accordance with the terms of the contract. |
