Consider motion to approve the issuance of liquor license(s) and/or beer / wine permit(s) in the City of Ankeny. 

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

In accordance with the Iowa Code Section 123.1 and the City of Ankeny Code of Ordinances Chapter 130, "Liquor Licenses and Wine and Beer Permits," the following license(s) have been investigated and reviewed by the Ankeny Police Department, and when necessary, by Planning & Building and/or Fire Department staff, and are presented to the City Council for approval. Copies of license and/or beer applications are available, for your review, in the Office of the City Clerk.

 

1.  Target Corporation d/b/a Target Store T-1767, 2135 SE Delaware Ave. – Class E Liquor License (LE) w/Sunday sales (Renewal) – Effective Date:   June 27, 2017.

2. Casey's Marketing Company d/b/a Casey's General Store #1548, 2905 W 1st St. - Class E Liquor License (LE) w/Sunday sales (Renewal) - Effective Date: June 28, 2017.

3. Kum & Go LC d/b/a Kum & Go #92, 1025 E 1st St. - Class E Liquor License (LE) w/Sunday sales (Renewal) - Effective Date: July 1, 2017.

4. Kum & Go LC d/b/a Kum & Go #292, 1825 N Ankeny Blvd. - Class E Liquor License (LE) w/Sunday sales (Renewal) - Effective Date: July 1, 2017.

5. Kum & Go LC d/b/a Kum & Go #4020, 1910 SW White Birch Circle - Class E Liquor License (LE) w/Sunday sales (Renewal) - Effective Date: July 1, 2017.

6. QuikTrip Corporation d/b/a QuikTrip #514, 802 E 1st St. - Class E Liquor License (LE) w/Sunday sales (Renewal) - Effective Date: July 1, 2017.

7. Ankeny Area Chamber d/b/a Ankeny Area Chamber of Commerce, 1631 SW Main St. - Special Class C Liquor License (BW) w/Sunday sales (NEW) (Summerfest) - Effective Date: July 5, 2017.

8. Bistro's and More, Inc. d/b/a Old Chicago, 2732 SE Delaware Ave. - Expanded Outdoor Service area for special event June 24, 2017.

9. Roc Taproom, Inc. d/b/a Old Chicago Pizza and Taproom, 2732 SE Delaware Ave. - Class C Liquor License (LC) w/Outdoor service, Sunday sales (NEW) - Effective Date: June 26, 2017.

10. Benchwood Inc. d/b/a Benchwarmers, 705 S Ankeny Blvd. - Class C Liquor License (LC) w/Outdoor service, Sunday sales (NEW) - Effective Date: July 1, 2017.

11. Casey's Marketing d/b/a Casey's General Store #1941, 1010 SE Oralabor Rd. - Class E Liquor License (LE) w/Sunday sales (NEW) - Effective Date: July 1, 2017.

12. Firetrucker LLC d/b/a Firetrucker Brewery, 716 SW 3rd St. - Expanded Outdoor Service area for special event July 4, 2017, pursuant to Special Use Permit  permitted hours of 4:00 to 10:00 p.m.
FISCAL IMPACT: Yes

The City of Ankeny will receive a portion of each application fee in accordance with Iowa Code Section 123.143.
