The action before the Council is the adoption of a resolution regarding the Proposed 2017 Ankeny Market & Pavilion Restroom Facility Project, which involves ordering construction, setting a public hearing date on the Contract Documents (plans, specifications, form of contract) and estimated total cost and setting a date for the filing of bids on the project.
The Proposed Ankeny Market & Pavilion Restroom Facility Project consists of the construction, transportation and installation of a prefabricated restroom and optional storage facility. Improvements include a prefabricated structure with split-faced block, metal roof, drinking fountain, fixtures, utility stub-out connections and associated improvements. The proposed work is located at 715 W First Street, at the Ankeny Market & Pavilion site.
The project is being presented for bidding at this time. Pending project approval and award by the City Council, the contractor will be required to start the project August 14 and they will have approximately 120 calendar days to complete the project. Council approval at this time will set the following schedule for the proceedings:
1. Set Date of Bid Opening and Public Hearing: July 3, 2017
2. Publish the Notice to Bidders and Notice of Public Hearing to Iowa League & MBI: July 6, 2017
3. Publish Notice to Bidders and Notice of Public Hearing in DSM Register: July 21, 2017
4. Bid Opening (10:30 A.M., City Hall): August 1, 2017
5. Public Hearing and Contract Award: August 7, 2017
