Proposed "Revitalize Iowa's Sound Economy" Application to the Iowa Department of Transportation for transportation improvements to SE Convenience Boulevard Extension Project on behalf of the Polk County Aviation Authority

By separate action on this agenda, the council considered the approval of an agreement to allow the City of Ankeny to be the lead agency for an Iowa DOT - R.I.S.E. Grant Application for the SE Convenience Blvd. Extension Project on behalf of the Polk County Aviation Authority. 

Pending approval of that action, the council needs to approve a resolution endorsing the project.  The endorsement includes the obligation that the City will dedicate the street as public, and will be responsible for maintenance when the street construction is completed.  This resolution becomes part of the RISE application that needs to be submitted to the Iowa DOT by September 1, 2017.  Staff recommends approval of this resolution. 

Action: Consider motion to adopt RESOLUTION endorsing a grant application for funding through the Iowa Department of Transportation's "Revitalize Iowa's Sound Economy" (R.I.S.E.) Program for the SE Convenience Boulevard Extension Project.
