Snyder & Associates, Inc., completed the design and bidding of the SW Vintage Parkway Connection project and provided construction engineering services throughout the project's construction, which is now complete. 

The contractor for the project exceeded the working days allotted for the construction of the project.  As a result, Snyder & Associates, Inc. incurred additional costs due to their additional construction engineering services.  The cost of the additional construction engineering services is equal to the amount of liquidated damages being incurred by the contractor for exceeding the substantial and final completion provisions of the construction contract.     

The scope of the additional construction engineering services and the corresponding fees are shown in the attached Amendment No. 3 to the Professional Services Agreement.  A copy of the original Professional Services Agreement, Amendment No. 1 and Amendment No. 2 are also attached for reference.  The fee for the additional construction engineering services in Amendment No. 3 is $17,000.00.

It is recommended that the City Council approve Amendment No. 3 to the Professional Services Agreement with Snyder & Associates, Inc.
