SUBJECT:
Consider motion to adopt a RESOLUTION naming the new library the Ankeny Kirkendall Public Library.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

A new library was approved by the citizens on May 2, 2017.  The City desires to name the new library the Ankeny Kirkendall Public Library.  This affords the opportunity to brand Ankeny in the name, yet preserve the tradition of the Kirkendall name.

 

Following city council approval, management will inform representatives from OPN Architects of this decision so the name can begin to be incorporated into the library planning moving forward.
