The actions before the Council are the approval of the final Change Order, the acceptance of the Certificate of Completion, passage of a Resolution accepting the public improvements and approval of the final payment and retainage payment to Minturn Construction, Inc., for the Crestbruck Park Splashpad Improvements project.
The Crestbruck Park Splashpad Improvements project is now complete including all final surface restoration. A series of actions are needed in order to close out this construction project:
a) Approval of the final Change Order #5 decreasing the contract amount by $285.00;
b) Engineer's Certificate of Completion: The attached Certificate of Completion from the project engineer states that the work performed was in substantial compliance with the plans and specifications and that the final contract amount is $186,509.00.
c) Resolution accepting the public improvements: This Resolution approves and adopts the Engineer's Certificate of Completion for the Crestbruck Park Splashpad Improvements project and establishes the final contract amount to be $186,509.00.
d) Final Payment - Minturn Construction Inc. $4,384.25
Retainage Payment - Minturn Construction Inc. $9,325.35
It is recommended that the final payment on the project now be approved. The retainage payment should also be approved 31 days from the date of acceptance of the project, in accordance with the terms of the contract.
