The action before the City Council is the adoption of a Resolution approving the assignment of Public Utility Easements previously acquired by the City of Ankeny to MidAmerican Energy Company.  MidAmerican Energy Company intends to utilize these easements to install underground electric facilities associated with the overhead to underground conversion of private utilities in conjunction with the West First Street Widening and Improvements - Phase 1 project.

The Public Utility Easements that were previously acquired by the City of Ankeny from Ankeny Community School District and Elwell, Inc. and recorded at the Polk Country Recorder's Office are attached for reference.
