PH 2018-11: Proposed amendment to the Zoning Regulations, Chapter 192, of the Municipal Code of the City of Ankeny, by rezoning certain real estate owned by Classic Development, LLC from R-3 with restrictions to PUD.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Classic Development, LLC is requesting an amendment to the zoning classification of approximately 26.09 acres of land generally located west of NW Abilene Road and south of NW 36th Street. The request is to change the zoning from R-3, Multiple-Family Residence District with restrictions (restricted to single family and 10 units/acre) to PUD, Planned Unit Development.  This is similar to other properties in the surrounding area.

CITY MANAGER'S RECOMMENDATIONS:
PREVIOUS COUNCIL/COMMISSION/BOARD ACTION(S):

On January 16, 2018 the Plan and Zoning Commission recommended City Council approval of the  request by Classic Development, LLC to rezone property from R-3, Multiple-Family Residence District with restrictions to PUD, Planned Unit Development.

PUBLIC OUTREACH EFFORTS:
Legal publication notification.  The Plan & Zoning Commission held a public hearing at their meeting on January 2, 2018.
ACTION REQUESTED:

Action: Consider motion to close Public Hearing 2018-11.
