SUBJECT:

Consider motion to adopt RESOLUTION accepting a proposal from All Inclusive Rec Products in the amount of $85,000 for the purchase of a playground for Deer Creek Park.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The City of Ankeny desires to develop Deer Creek Park and include a playground as one of the park's amenities. A request for proposal was sent to three playground vendors with concepts submitted with various playground layouts. The City of Ankeny conducted a Deer Creek neighborhood playground vote to select the playground components and ultimately chose the proposal submitted by All Inclusive Rec Products.
FISCAL IMPACT: Yes
The development of Deer Creek Park is included in the City's 2018 Capital Improvement Program.

PUBLIC OUTREACH EFFORTS:
Two public neighborhood meetings have been held with the Deer Creek development regarding the construction of their future park. The first meeting was held October 12th to gain neighborhood opinions and input on the park's overall concept, as well as, discuss the construction phasing and development. The second meeting was held December 21st  where park neighbors were invited to preview playground designs and vote on their favorite concept with the playground receiving the most votes ultimately being installed in the park.
