The action before the Council is the adoption of a resolution regarding the NW Irvinedale Drive and NW 5th Street Intersection Improvements project which involves ordering construction, setting a public hearing date on the Contract Documents (plans, specifications, form of contract), estimated total cost, and enhancement of payment, and setting a date for the filing of bids on the project.
The NW Irvinedale Drive and NW 5th Street Intersection Improvements project includes the removal and replacement of PCC street pavement, sanitary sewer, water main, storm sewer, and traffic signals generally located at the intersection of NW Irvinedale Drive and NW 5th Street in the City of Ankeny.
The construction improvements include approximately 9,700 SY of PCC street pavement, 330 LF of sanitary sewer, 1,680 LF of water main, 2,025 LF of storm sewer, Class 10 excavation, subgrade preparation, modified subbase, subdrain, traffic signal removal and replacement, and removal and replacement of driveways and sidewalks. Other associated improvements include traffic control, erosion control, temporary driveways, temporary surface restoration, and miscellaneous associated work necessary to complete the project. |
