Proposed Amendment of Current Budget for Fiscal Year Ending June 30, 2018 (PH 2018-15)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

Significant changes requiring amendment of the current budget for fiscal year ending June 30, 2018 include the following:

  • Amended revenues include increases in intergovernmental revenues related to the receipt of a Revitalize Iowa's Sound Economy (RISE) grant and charges for services related to the sale of water.
  • Amended expenditures include decreases related to public safety vacancies and increases related to the timing of capital projects.
  • Additionally, other financing sources and debt service are increasing due to deferring the issuance of bonds from FY 2017 to FY 2018 to finance the Fire Station No. 3 and Library projects.
