The amendment includes adding the salary adjustments section and changes to the vehicle program section. See the attached redlined version for changes. With the approval of new pay plans last year, directors and officers transitioned from a step pay plan to a salary range system. The new salary adjustment section was created for directors and officers to move through the salary range system in similar fashion to the way union and nonunion employees move through the step system, except that directors’ and officers’ progression is tied to performance, goal attainment and continuous improvement rather than longevity. The system utilizes a similar strategy to that which has been implemented for all other employees: to award larger increases earlier in the employee’s time in that position and then decelerates pay progression as employees reach market pay levels. The vehicle program section was amended to include the Utilities Director position, which was re-established in 2017. |
