Consider motion to approve the issuance of liquor license(s) and/or beer / wine permit(s) in the City of Ankeny. 

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
FISCAL IMPACT: Yes

In accordance with the Iowa Code Section 123.1 and the City of Ankeny Code of Ordinances Chapter 130, "Liquor Licenses and Wine and Beer Permits," the following license (s) have been investigated and reviewed by the Ankeny Police Department, and when necessary, by Planning & Building and/or Fire Department staff, and are presented to the City Council for approval. Copies of license and/or beer applications are available, for your review, in the Office of the City Clerk.

 

1.  Metro Food & Drink, L.C. d/b/a Ankeny Diner, 133 SE Delaware Ave. – Class B Liquor License (LB) w/Sunday sales (Renewal) – Effective Date:   May 1, 2018.

2. CCW, LLC d/b/a Huhot Mongolian Grill, 2310 SE Delaware Ave., Suite A - Special Class C Liquor License (BW) w/Sunday sales (Renewal) - Effective Date: May 1, 2018.

3. Lam Inc. d/b/a China Moon, 225 SE Oralabor Rd. - Class C Liquor License (LC) w/Sunday sales (Renewal) - Effective Date: May 6, 2018.

4. ZB Restaurant Group Ankeny, LLC d/b/a Zombie Burger + Shake Lab, 1550 N Ankeny Blvd., Ste. 100 - Class C Liquor License (LC) w/Outdoor Service, Sunday sales (Renewal) - Effective Date: April 26, 2018.

5. Flavory LLC d/b/a Flavory Bistro, 1450 SW Vintage Parkway - Special Class C Liquor License (BW) w/Sunday sales (Renewal) - Effective Date: May 1, 2018.

6. J & M Design, LLC d/b/a Walnut Street Gallery, 301 SW Walnut St. - Class B Native Wine Permit (WBN) w/Sunday sales (Renewal) - Effective Date: May 5,  2018.

7. Shree Ganesh Inc. d/b/a BestWestern Ankeny, 2502 SE Tones Dr. - Class B Liquor License (LB) (Hotel/Motel) w/Sunday sales (NEW) - Effective Date: May 15, 2018.

8. Fleet and Farm of Green Bay, LLC d/b/a Mills Gas Mart, 4275 SE Delaware Ave. - Class C Beer Permit (BC) w/Sunday sales (Renewal) - Effective Date: May 1, 2018.

9. Casey's Marketing d/b/a Casey's General Store #1941, 1010 SE Oralabor Rd. - Class E Liquor License (LE) w/Sunday sales (NEW) (Selling hard liquor is new to this location.) - Effective Date: May 1, 2018.

10. Crankie's, Inc. d/b/a Wheel House Pizza Pub, 106 SW State - Class C Liquor License (LC) (adding outdoor service to the current license) - Effective Date: April 17, 2018.

11. Riley Drive Entertainment 22, Inc. d/b/a Taco Hangover Ankeny, 1631 SW Main St., Suite 100 - Class C Liquor License (LC) (adding outdoor service to the current license) - Effective Date: April 17, 2018.

12. Los Charros, LLC d/b/a Los Charros, 2010 SE Delaware Ave., Ste 230 - Class C Liquor License (LC) Special Event May 5, 2018 - Adding Outdoor Service area - Effective Date: May 5, 2018.

13. Firetrucker LLC d/b/a Firetrucker Brewery, 716 SW 3rd St. - Class B Beer Permit (BB) Expanded Outdoor Service area April 21, 2018 - Effective Date:  April 21, 2018.
