The action before the City Council is the approval of a Professional Services Agreement with JEO Consulting Group, Inc., for the design and bidding phase services needed for the Tradition Park Stormwater Detention Basin Flood Repair Project.
The scope of the project includes the design for the construction of a box culvert extension, energy dissipation measures within the tributary, site and channel grading, construction of erosion control measures and installation of an ADA compliant trail. These improvements will repair the areas damaged by the extreme flash flooding event that occurred on June 30, 2018.
The design for the project needs to be undertaken at this time so that the project schedule can be maintained. The Public Works Department proposes to use JEO Consulting Group, Inc., to complete the necessary design and bidding phase services for the project because they have the technical experience needed for this project. The scope of the engineering services and corresponding fees for the services are shown in the attached Professional Services Agreement. The total fee for engineering services is $73,400.00.
