Consider motion to approve City Clerk job announcement and recruitment timeline.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

The City of Ankeny is initiating the recruitment process for a City Clerk following the retirement of City Clerk Pamela DeMouth. Following input from the Mayor and City Council, staff and the City Manager are proposing the attached timeline and participation from  the Mayor and City Council members and management in the recruitment process, which will be coordinated by the Human Resources Department. The final phase of the recruitment contemplated is an interview with the Mayor and entire City Council.

FISCAL IMPACT: No
CITY MANAGER'S RECOMMENDATIONS:

The City Manager recommends a motion to approve the attached timeline, which includes each phase of the recruitment and anticipated levels of participation.

 

PREVIOUS COUNCIL/COMMISSION/BOARD ACTION(S):

The City Council, on December 3, 2018, appointed Deb Arend as Interim City Clerk.
