| Civil Design Advantage has completed the design of Phase 1 of the Deer Creek Trunk Sanitary Sewer, however permission to access the property to clear trees was not granted and the project has been delayed. It has been decided to combine both phases into one design phase in 2019. Because of this we have to amend the existing professional services agreement with Civil Design Advantage to include design of the second phase.
The Municipal Utilities Department proposes to continue using Civil Design Advantage to complete the necessary additional design services for this project. The scope of the additional design services along with the corresponding fees are shown in the attached Amendment No.1 to the Professional Services Agreement. A copy of the original Professional Services Agreement is also attached for reference. The fee for the additional design services for the Deer Creek Trunk Sanitary Sewer Extension project is $30,908.00. The original Professional Services Agreement for design engineering services was $104,692.00. Adding Amendment #1 to the Professional Services Agreement increases the total contract to $135,600.00.
It is recommended that the City Council approve Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement with Civil Design Advantage in the amount of $30,908.00 for the Deer Creek Trunk Sanitary Sewer Extension Project. |
