The action before the City Council is the approval of a Professional Services Agreement with Snyder & Associates for the design and bidding phase services needed for the 2019 Hawkeye Park Improvements - Fishing Pier and Pond Dredging Project.
The scope of the project includes the design for the construction of a new outlet structure, trail realignment, fishing pier and pond dredging.
The design for the project needs to be undertaken at this time so that the project schedule can be maintained. The Parks & Recreation Department proposes to use Snyder & Associates to complete the necessary design and bidding phase services for the project because they have the technical experience needed for this project. The scope of the engineering services and corresponding fees for the services are shown in the attached Professional Services Agreement. The total fee for the engineering services is not to exceed $39,000.00.
It is recommended that the City Council approve the Professional Services Agreement with Snyder & Associates. |
