Consider motion to adopt RESOLUTION accepting the final plat for Berwick Heights Plat 2 subject to applicable Polk County subdivision requirements in lieu of the City of Ankeny subdivision regulations.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

Berwick Heights Plat 2 is located south of the City of Ankeny corporate limits, south of NE 54th Avenue and west of Interstate 35. The property lies within the state statutory two-mile subdivision review area for the City of Ankeny.

 

This 11.82-acre plat contains two lots and is a re-plat of a portion of Berwick Heights, an official plat in Polk County. The subject plat splits Lot 1 of the original plat into two lots. Both lots are zoned HI, Heavy Industrial District in the County. The proposed plat is outside of the City of Ankeny's Future Land Use Plan. Thus, City staff does not believe it is likely that the area will be annexed in the future. A note on the plat reads that, "Street lights and sidewalks will be the responsibility of the lot owners if annexed into the City of Ankeny".
