SUBJECT:
Consider motion to approve Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement increasing the contract amount by $52,062.00 with HDR Engineering, Inc., for additional services on the Ankeny Sanitary Master Plan project.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

HDR Engineering, Inc., is currently completing the Ankeny Sanitary Master Plan, which was initiated in April of 2018. The serious storm event on June 30, 2018 caused damages and basement backups throughout Ankeny.  The intensity of that storm was unprecedented and showed the need for additional survey and study work on our sewer system.  Specifically, staff recognized the need for:

 

-  Direct follow-up with residents who reported flooded basements. 

-  Distribution of a city-side survey to identify possible existing sewer deficiencies.  

-  Recommendations of possible CIP projects to address system deficiencies. 

 

This amendment addresses these extra services related to the June 30, 2018 storm event.   
FISCAL IMPACT: Yes
This amendment will increase the contract amount to HDR Engineering by $52,062.00.
