PH 2019-17:

Proposed Amendment No. 1 to the Amended and Restated 1991 City of Ankeny Urban Renewal Plan.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

The proposed Amendment No. 1 to the 1991 Amended and Restated City of Ankeny Urban Renewal Plan, which was restated and amended in 2018, includes the following update:

  • The addition of the West First Street widening and improvements project - Phase I

 

The amendment adds no new land to the urban renewal area and has no effect on the duration of the plan or the area.

CITY MANAGER'S RECOMMENDATIONS:
To approve as presented.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL/COMMISSION/BOARD ACTION(S):

A public hearing date for this amendment was set at the February 4, 2019 meeting of the City Council.

PUBLIC OUTREACH EFFORTS:
A consultation meeting with all affected taxing entities was held on February 12, 2019.  A report from that meeting is attached.
ACTION REQUESTED:

Action: Consider motion to close Public Hearing 2019-17.
