The action before the City Council is the approval of a Professional Services Agreement with Nilles Associates, Inc., for the design and master planning of the parkland located in eastern Prairie Trail.
The scope of this project will provide preliminary and final design for future parkland located in Prairie Trail. The services include field surveys; preliminary and final alignment of trails; locations and general sizes of park amenities including shelters, structures, play areas and landscape features; final utility layouts needed to serve park amenities; concept designs showing general planting areas for turf and landscaping; probable construction costs; and a park phasing plan.
The design and planning for these projects needs to be undertaken at this time as the preparation and construction of the defined area in Prairie Trail, adjacent to the park spaces, is now occurring. The complete scope of the engineering services and corresponding fees for the services are shown in the attached Professional Services Agreement. The total fee for the engineering services is not to exceed $40,000.00.
