The action before the Council is the adoption of a Resolution accepting a proposal from Rognes Corp., in the amount of $49,010.00 for the construction of the 2019 SW 3rd Street Sanitary Sewer Spot Repair.
The 2019 SW 3rd Street Sanitary Sewer Spot Repair project entails the repair of a damaged section of 8-inch VCP sanitary sewer in the vicinity of SW 3rd Street and SW Maple Street in the City of Ankeny.

Additional construction improvements include minor traffic control, pavement and removal and replacement, video inspection, cleanup and miscellaneous associated work necessary to complete the project.

Bid invitations were sent to 6 contractors. Three (3) bids were received for the project as follows:

The Engineer’s estimated cost for the project was $40,000.00. Rognes Corp., has completed similar projects for the City of Ankeny in the past. The Municipal Utilities Department recommends award of the 2019 SW 3rd Street Sanitary Sewer Spot Repair project to Rognes Corp.
