The action before the Council is the adoption of a resolution regarding the 2019 - Crestbruck Park Recreation Trail Replacement & Miscellaneous Trail Patches project which involves ordering construction, setting a public hearing date on the Contract Documents (plans, specifications, form of contract) and estimated total cost and setting a date for the filing of bids on the project.
The 2019 – Crestbruck Park Recreation Trail Replacement & Miscellaneous Trail Patches project includes the removal and replacement of the existing trail loop in Crestbruck Park with PCC pavement and removal and replacement of some existing PCC trail along SW State Street between SW 16th Street and SW Magazine Road and along SW Oralabor Road at the pedestrian bridge over the DMACC pond outlet.
The construction improvements include HMA & PCC sidewalk removal, 5” & 6” PCC sidewalk paving, temporary traffic control, permanent & temporary surface stabilization and miscellaneous associated work necessary to complete the project.
The project is being presented for bidding at this time. Pending project approval and award by the City Council, the contractor will be required to start the project by no later than August 12, 2019, and they will have until September 30, 2019 to fully complete the project. Council approval at this time will set the following schedule for the proceedings:
1. Set Date of Bid Opening and Public Hearing: May 6, 2019
2. Post Notice to Bidders and Notice of Public Hearing: May 10, 2019
3. Publish Notice to Bidders and Notice of Public of Hearing: May 17, 2019
4. Bid Opening (10:30 A.M., City Hall): May 29, 2019
5. Public Hearing and Award Contract: June 3, 2019
