The action before the Council is the adoption of a Resolution accepting all of the corrections to the sewer defects that were listed in the Mutual Release and Settlement Agreement that have been completed on the Rock Creek Lateral Sewer Project. This will complete the agreement in place between Morgan Contracting, LLC, Polk County, Iowa and the City of Ankeny.
The Rock Creek Lateral Sewer Project included a Mutual Release and Settlement Agreement between Morgan Contracting, Inc., Polk County and the City of Ankeny to complete defects identified from the original contract for the Rock Creek Lateral Sewer Project. The project area includes the following plats: Golf View Acres Plat 4 and Country Club Court Plats 1 - 5. This agreement required the contractor to complete all necessary corrections to the Rock Creek Lateral Sewer Project.
The corrective work includes manhole fixes, sanitary sewer pipe patches, a couple of sag fixes and restoration. Other associated work includes any necessary traffic control, erosion control and surface restoration.
