The action before the City Council is the approval of a Professional Services Agreement with JEO Consulting Group, Inc., for the construction phase services needed for the 2019 PCC Reconstruction Program - NW 9th Street project.
The scope of the project includes pavement reconstruction and minor utility improvements along NW 9th Street from just east of NW Irvinedale Drive to the east connection of NW Park Lane. These improvements will improve the condition of the street, sidewalk and storm sewer infrastructure in this area.
The design of this project was completed by in-house engineering staff and publicly bid March 12th with award on March 18th. The Public Works Engineering Division staff will continue to manage this project through construction, but the Engineering Division does not have the capacity to perform the required construction staking and observation services. The Public Works Department proposes to use JEO Consulting Group, Inc., to complete the necessary construction staking and observation services for this project. The scope of the construction engineering services and corresponding fees are shown in the attached Professional Services Agreement. The total fee for the construction engineering services is $30,600.00.
