Consider motion to approve the issuance of liquor license(s) and/or beer / wine permit(s) in the City of Ankeny. 

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

In accordance with the Iowa Code Section 123.1 and the City of Ankeny Code of Ordinances Chapter 130, "Liquor Licenses and Wine and Beer Permits," the following license(s) have been investigated and reviewed by the Ankeny Police Department, and when necessary, by Planning & Building and/or Fire Department staff, and are presented to the City Council for approval. Copies of license and/or beer applications are available, for your review, in the Office of the City Clerk.

 

1.  Guadalajara, LLC. d/b/a Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant, 202 S. E. Delaware Ave. – Class C Liquor License (LC) w/Outdoor Service, Sunday sales (Renewal) – Effective Date:   June 17, 2019.

2. Benchwood Inc. d/b/a Benchwarmers, 705 S. Ankeny Blvd. - Class C Liquor License (LC) w/Outdoor Service, Sunday sales (Renewal) - Effective Date: July 1, 2019.

3. JJC, LLC d/b/a JJC Ankeny - Fuzzy's Taco Shop, 2732 SE Delaware Ave. - Class C Liquor License (LC) w/Outdoor Service, Sunday sales (Renewal) - Effective Date: June 15, 2019.

4. OP LLC d/b/a Siam Table, 757 N. Ankeny - Special Class C Liquor License (BW) w/Sunday sales (Renewal) - Effective Date: June 15, 2019.

5. Ankeny Area Chamber of  d/b/a Ankeny Area Chamber of Commerce, 1210 NW Prairie Ridge Drive - Special Class C Liquor License (BW) w/Outdoor Service, Sunday sales (5 day license) - Effective Date: July 10, 2019, Summerfest.

6. ABC Investment, Inc. d/b/a Hampton Inn Suites, 6210 SE Convenience Blvd. - Class C Beer Permit (BC) w/Sunday sales - Effective Date: June 4, 2019.

7. Your Private Bartender LLC d/b/a Your Private Bartender, 715 SW Ankeny Rd. - Class C Liquor License (LC) w/Outdoor Service (5 day license) - Effective Date: June 3, 2019, Opening of On With Life Outdoor Rehabilitation Area, June 6, 2019.

8. District Hospitality, Inc. d/b/a District Hospitality Inc., 1500 SW Main Street - Class C Liquor License (LC) w/Outdoor Service (5 day license) - Effective Date: June 3, 2019 (Sips and Songs Special Event June 7, 2019).

9. Beercoe, LLC d/b/a Beer Coe, 715 West 1st St. - Class B Beer Permit (BB) w/Outdoor Service (5 day license) - Effective Date: June 8, 2019 (Food Truck Event at the AMP - June 11, 2019).

10. District Hospitality, Inc. d/b/a District Hospitality Inc., 1500 SW Main Street - Class C Liquor License (LC) w/Outdoor Service (5 day license) - Effective Date: June 11, 2019 (Sips and Songs Special Event June 14, 2019).
FISCAL IMPACT: Yes

The City of Ankeny will receive a portion of each application fee in accordance with Iowa Code Section 123.143.
