SUBJECT:

Consider motion to adopt RESOLUTION authorizing the City of Ankeny to sign off on a settlement agreement between the Iowa Economic Development Authority and Agilent Technologies, Inc. (formerly dba Advanced Analytical Technologies, Inc.). 
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
This settlement agreement is for incentives offered and provided through IEDA and is not related to any incentives provided by the City.  As a party to the original contract between IEDA and Agilent Technologies, Inc., the City is required to sign off on any settlement agreement. 
FISCAL IMPACT: No
This settlement agreement does not have any financial impact on the City of Ankeny.
CITY MANAGER'S RECOMMENDATIONS:
To approve the Settlement Agreement as negotiated by IEDA and Agilent Technologies, Inc. and approved by the IEDA Board.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL/COMMISSION/BOARD ACTION(S):

In 2015 the City Council approved a resolution supporting Agilent's application to IEDA's high quality jobs program and approved the three party contract between IEDA, Agilent and the City of Ankeny for IEDA incentives awarded to Agilent.
