Consider motion to approve the issuance of liquor license(s) and/or beer / wine permit(s) in the City of Ankeny. 
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

In accordance with the Iowa Code Section 123.1 and the City of Ankeny Code of Ordinances Chapter 130, "Liquor Licenses and Wine and Beer Permits," the following license(s) have been investigated and reviewed by the Ankeny Police Department, and when necessary, by Planning & Building and/or Fire Department staff, and are presented to the City Council for approval. Copies of license and/or beer applications are available, for your review, in the Office of the City Clerk.

 

1.  Murphy Oil USA, Inc. d/b/a Murphy USA #7594, 1006 SE National Drive – Class C Beer Permit (BC) w/Sunday sales (Renewal) – Effective Date:   July 21, 2019.

2. BeerCoe, LLC d/b/a Beer Coe, 715 West 1st St. - Class B Beer Permit (BB) w/Outdoor service (5 day license) (Special Event July 9, 2019 - AMP Site) - Effective Date: July 5, 2019.

3. BeerCoe, LLC d/b/a Beer Coe, 715 West 1st St. - Class B Beer Permit (BB) w/Outdoor service (5 day license) (Special Event July 16, 2019 - AMP Site) - Effective Date: July 12, 2019.

4. Kwik Trip, Inc. d/b/a Kwik Star #1016, 202 SE Orlabor Rd. - Class C Beer Permit (BC) w/Sunday sales (NEW) - Effective Date: August 5, 2019.

5. District Hospitality, Inc. d/b/a District Hospitality, Inc., 1500 SW Main Street - Class C Liquor License (LC) w/Outdoor service (5 day license) (Special Event July 5, 2019) - Effective Date: July 2, 2019.

6. District Hospitality, Inc. d/b/a District Hospitality, Inc., 1500 SW Main Street - Class C Liquor License (LC) w/Outdoor service (5 day license) (Special Event July 19, 2019) - Effective Date: July 16, 2019.

7. Hy-Vee, Inc. d/b/a Hy-Vee Nationwide Event, 1055 SW Prairie Trail Pkwy - Class C Liquor License (LC) (5 day license) (Special Event July 17, 2019) - Effective Date: July 15, 2019.
FISCAL IMPACT: Yes

The City of Ankeny will receive a portion of each application fee in accordance with Iowa Code Section 123.143.
