Consider motion to adopt RESOLUTION providing for the notice and hearing of the City Council of the City of Ankeny regarding the voluntary urbanized annexation of property owned by Grand Capital, LC  (date of hrg: 12/16/19 @ 5:30 p.m.)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Grand Capital, LC, the property owner, has requested annexation into the City of Ankeny. The land is approximately 18.6 acres (+/-) of land, generally located east of SE Four Mile Dr (NE 29th St); and and approximately one-half mile north of SE Corporate Woods Dr (NE 62nd Ave), north of the railroad. The annexation also includes the east 45 feet from the centerline of SE Four Mile (NE 29th St), between the north and south boundaries of the proposed annexation area.

CITY MANAGER'S RECOMMENDATIONS:
Adopt resolution setting public hearing for 12/16/19 at 5:30 p.m.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL/COMMISSION/BOARD ACTION(S):

October 7, 2019: City Council initiated voluntary annexation of the Grand Capital, LC properties.

 

November 5, 2019: Plan & Zoning Commission recommended City Council approval of the Grand Capital, LC request for voluntary annexation.
