2019 Crestrbuck Park Recreation Trail Replacement & Miscellaneous Trail Patches:  Consider motion to approve:  a) Final Change Order #1 increasing the contract amount by $32,160.85; b)  Certificate of Completion; c) RESOLUTION accepting the public improvements with Shekar Engineering P.L.C in the amount of $200,225.10; and d) Final Payment #4 in the amount of $40,225.38 / Release of Retainage in the amount of $10,011.25.

The actions before the Council are the approval of the final Change Order, acceptance of the Certificate of Completion, passage of a Resolution accepting the public improvements and approval of the final and retainage payments to Shekar Engineering P.L.C for the 2019 Crestbruck Park Recreation Trail Replacement & Miscellaneous Trail Patches project.

The 2019 Crestbruck Park Recreation Trail Replacement & Miscellaneous Trail Patches project is now complete.  A series of actions are needed in order to close out this construction project:

1) Approval of the Final Change Order #1 increasing the contract amount by $32,160.85.

2)  Engineer's Certificate of Completion:  The attached Certificate of Completion from the project engineer states that the work performed was in substantial compliance with the plans and specifications and that the final contract amount is $200,225.10.

3)  Resolution accepting the public improvements:  This Resolution approves and adopts the Engineer's Certificate of Completion for the 2019 Crestbruck Park Recreation Trail Replacement & Miscellaneous Trail Patches project and establishes the final contract amount to be $200,225.10.

4) Final Payment:  Shekar Engineering P.L.C. = $40,225.38

    Retainage Payment:  Shekar Engineering P.L.C. = $10,011.26

It is recommended that the retainage payment be approved for payment 31 days from the date of acceptance of the project, in accordance with the terms of the contract.

It is recommended that the Council take the following actions:

1. Approve final Change Order #1 increasing the contract amount by $32,160.85.

2. Accept the Certificate of Completion from the project engineer for the 2019 Crestbruck Park Recreation Trail Replacement & Miscellaneous Trail Patches project.
3. Adopt the Resolution accepting the 2019 Crestbruck Park Recreation Trail Replacement & Miscellaneous Trail Patches project with Shekar Engineering P.L.C in the final contract amount of $200,225.10; and

4. Authorize final payment to Shekar Engineering P.L.C in the amount of $40,225.38 and release of retainage payment in the amount of $10,011.26 in accordance with the terms of the contract.
