Proposed SE Hulsizer Road Realignment Project

Public Hearing to Authorize the Acquisition of Property and Property Interests
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The action before the Council is to hold a Public Hearing to allow affected property owners the opportunity to present their views regarding the proposed acquisition of property and property interests for the SE Hulsizer Road Realignment project. Further action includes consideration of a Resolution approving the commencement of the public improvement including negotiations to facilitate the acquisition of fee title, permanent easements and temporary easements for the project.

CITY MANAGER'S RECOMMENDATIONS:
Approve Resolution authorizing the acquisition of property and property interests for the  SE Hulsizer Road Realignment project.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL/COMMISSION/BOARD ACTION(S):
October 21, 2019: Council authorized setting the date for the Public Hearing as November 18, 2019.
PUBLIC OUTREACH EFFORTS:

Notice of Intent to Commence a Public Improvement Project was mailed to affected property owners as required by the Iowa Code, along with legal publication in the Des Moines Register on November 1, 2019.  A project information meeting was held for affected property owners on September 10, 2019.
ACTION REQUESTED:

Action: Consider motion to close Public Hearing 2019-64.
