The actions before the council are the acceptance of the certificate of completion, passage of a resolution accepting the public improvements and approval of the retainage payment to DDVI, Inc. for the Fire Station No. 3 project.

The project is now complete.  A series of actions are needed in order to close out this construction project:

a. Architect's Certificate of Completion: The attached Certificate of Completion from the SVPA states that the work performed was in substantial conformance with the plans and specifications and that the final contract amount is $3,370,994.38.

b. Resolution accepting the public improvements:  This resolution approves and adopts the engineer's Certificate of Completion and establishes the final contract amount. 

c.  Retainage Payment - DDVI, Inc.   $55,699.72.

It is recommended that the retainage payment be approved for payment 30 days after project acceptance t in accordance with the terms of the contract.

It is recommended that the council take the following actions: 

1. Accept the Certificate of Completion from the project architect for the Fire Station No. 3 project.

2. Adopt the resolution accepting the Fire Station No. 3 project with DDVI, Inc. in the final contract amount of $3,370,994.38; and

3. Authorize the release of retainage payment in the amount of $55,699.72, in accordance with the terms of the contract.
