The action before the City Council is the approval of a Professional Services Agreement with Civil Design Advantage LLC, for the design engineering services needed for the NW 18th Street Extension - Weigel to Spruce project.
The scope of the project includes paving NW 18th Street from just west of NW Weigel Drive to just west of NW Spruce Drive. Associated improvements include water main extension, sanitary sewer extension, storm sewer, lighting, and paving an 8' wide trail. These improvements will improve the condition of the street infrastructure in this area.
The design of this project needs to be undertaken at this time so that the project schedule can be maintained. The Public Works Department proposes to use Civil Design Advantage LLC, to complete the necessary design engineering services for this project. The scope of the design engineering services and corresponding fees are shown in the attached Professional Services Agreement. The total fee for the design engineering services is $319,825.00.
It is anticipated that this project will be bid in December 2020 for construction in 2021. It is recommended that the City Council approve the Professional Services Agreement with Civil Design Advantage LLC. |
