SUBJECT:
Consider motion to approve Change Order #5 increasing the contract amount by $14,983.38 to Alliance Construction Group for construction services on the S Ankeny Blvd and SE Shurfine Dr/SW Prairie Trail Pkwy Intersection Improvements project.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

This change order is due to:

1) Low temperatures not allowing adequate time for preparation of subgrade and required stabilization of the subgrade along SE Shurfine to complete intersection pavement prior to winter.

2) Low temperatures require use of hot water in concrete mix.

3) Winter traffic control requires addition time and materials.

4) Low temperatures require use of solvent based temporary pavement markings over the winter.
