SUBJECT:
Ord 2005: An Ordinance amending Chapter 132, Peddler, Solicitors and Transient Merchants, of the Municipal Code of the City of Ankeny, Iowa, 2008.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The City Clerk worked with a team from the city consisting of PD, Fire, Public Works, Planning & Building, Park and Recreation and the Deputy Clerk to develop an ordinance for Mobile Food Vendors. Previously all Mobile Food Vendors were licensed through the Peddler, Solicitor and Transient Merchants Ordinance.  Creating the Mobile Food Vendor ordinance required an amendment of the current Peddler, Solicitor and Transient Merchant Ordinance.

Approve third Reading of Ordinance 2005
PREVIOUS COUNCIL/COMMISSION/BOARD ACTION(S):
City Council reviewed the ordinance at a Planning Session February 3 and February 17, 2020.
PUBLIC OUTREACH EFFORTS:
Draft Ordinances where shared with key stake holders such as Ankeny Chamber of Commerce, Uptown Association, and the DRA Properties.
