Foth Infrastructure and Environment, LLC has completed the preliminary design and a portion of the final design of the West First Street Widening and Improvements - Phase 1 project associated with Amendment No. 1 in 2019.  The Public Works Department proposes to continue using Foth Infrastructure and Environment, LLC for the remainder of the final design engineering services for the project in 2020.  The scope of the remaining final design engineering services and the corresponding fees are shown in the attached Amendment No. 2 to the Professional Services Agreement.  A copy of the original Professional Services Agreement and Amendment No. 1 are also attached for reference.

There are three additional projects that are associated with the West First Street Widening and Improvements - Phase 1 project that are to be constructed in 2020, in advance of the Phase 1 project which will be constructed in 2021-2022.  These projects are the West First Street Joint Utility Trench project, the NW Northlawn Area Sanitary Sewer Improvements project, and the West First Street Temporary Traffic Signals project.  Amendment No. 2 also includes design engineering services and construction engineering services with Foth Infrastructure and Environment, LLC for these three projects.  A portion of the design engineering services for the West First Street Joint Utility Trench project was previously included with Amendment No. 1 in 2019.

The total fee associated with Amendment No. 2 for the design engineering services and construction engineering services is $379,390.00.

It is recommended that the City Council approve Amendment No. 2 to the Professional Services Agreement with Foth Infrastructure and Environment, LLC.
