SUBJECT:

Consider motion to waive Iowa Rush Soccer Club 2020 spring user fees for the Prairie Ridge Sports Complex
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Due to public safety concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic the Prairie Ridge Sports Complex has remained closed and was not available to be utilized by the Iowa Rush Soccer Club for their spring season. The Iowa Rush Soccer Club runs a league program at Prairie Ridge Sports Complex every spring and fall consisting of practices and weekly games on fields 21 and 31-38. League dates are approximately April 1 through November 1. In addition, the City of Ankeny leases to Iowa Rush Soccer Club concessions, restrooms, and storage space. With the fields not being available and the Iowa Rush Soccer Club canceling their spring season, staff is recommended waiving their 2020 spring lease payment in the amount of $40,522.
