Consider motion to adopt RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor to sign a grant application to be submitted to the Iowa State Recreational Trails Program for the High Trestle Trail Extension to Oralabor Road project.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Extend the High Trestle Trail from SE Magazine Road to SE Oralabor Road. This project includes the construction of 10’ wide recreation trail along abandoned railroad line, similar to the previous segments of the trail. The proposed segment includes a recommended overpass crossing of SE Oralabor Road where the High Trestle Trail will directly connect into the Gay Lea Wilson Trail.
FISCAL IMPACT: Yes
The trail extension is currently included in the City's Capital Improvement Program for construction in 2021.
