Proposed Amendment No. 3 to the Amended and Restated 1991 City of Ankeny Urban Renewal Plan. (PH 2023-18)

Proposed Amendment No. 3 to the 1991 Amended and Restated City of Ankeny Urban Renewal Plan, which was last amended in 2021, includes the following updates:

• The addition of parking, sidewalk and streetscape improvements on SW Walnut Street between SW 3rd Street and SW Railroad Drive, on SW Cherry Street between SW 3rd Street and SW 5th Street and new diagonal stalls on SW 3rd Street, west of SW Pleasant Street.

The amendment adds no new land to the urban renewal area and has no effect on the duration of the plan or the area.

This urban renewal area was last amended in 2021.

Action: Consider motion to receive and file the report from the consultation meeting held on February 15, 2023.

Action: Consider motion to adopt <strong>RESOLUTION</strong> determining an area of the City to be an economic development area, and that the rehabilitation, conservation, redevelopment, development, or a combination thereof, of such area is necessary in the interest of the public health, safety or welfare of the residents of the City; designating such area as appropriate for urban renewal projects; and adopting Amendment No. 3 to the Amended and Restated 1991 City of Ankeny Urban Renewal Plan.&nbsp;
