The 2023 Asphalt Street Resurfacing Program – SW Ordnance Road project includes asphalt milling and hot mix asphalt (HMA) overlay of SW Ordnance Road from approximately 500’ west of SW Cherry Street to approximately 700’ east of SW Railroad Drive.
The construction improvements include approximately 300 CY of Class 13 excavation, 200 CY of topsoil import, 4,700 SY of asphalt milling, 1,800 TON of hot mix asphalt (HMA), 200 TON of granular shoulder, 85 STA of pavement markings, removal and replacement of sidewalk, surface restoration, temporary traffic control, mobilization, and miscellaneous associated work necessary to complete the project.
The project is being presented for bidding at this time. Pending project approval and award by the City Council, the contractor will be required to start the project no earlier than June 5, 2023, and no later than June 26, 2023. The contractor will have until August 4, 2023 to substantially complete the project, and until August 18, 2023 to fully complete the project. Council approval at this time will set the following schedule for the proceedings:
1. Set Date of Bid Opening and Public Hearing: March 6, 2023
2. Post Notice to Bidders and Notice of Public Hearing: March 8, 2023
3. Publish Notice to Bidders and Notice of Public of Hearing: March 17, 2023
4. Bid Opening (10:30 A.M., Public Services Building): March 28, 2023
5. Public Hearing and Contract Award: April 3, 2023
