Consider motion to approve the solid waste permits for April 1, 2023– March 31, 2024.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

In accordance with the City of Ankeny Code of Ordinances Chapter 111, "Collection of Solid Waste," the following licensees have submitted applications, which have met all requirements and are now being presented to the City Council for approval.

 

Copies of license applications are available for review in the Office of the City Clerk.

1. Midwest Solid Waste, Inc., d/b/a Ankeny Sanitation, Inc., 7002 SE Delaware Avenue, Ankeny, Iowa  (renewal)

2. Aspen Waste Systems, Inc. d/b/a Aspen Waste Systems of Iowa, Inc., 1800 E. Euclid Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa (renewal) (pending additional paperwork)


3. Eichinger Brothers, LLC, d/b/a Garbage Guys, 52160 320th St., Slater, Iowa  (renewal)

4. Waste Management of Iowa, Inc., 201 SE 18th Street, Des Moines, Iowa (renewal- pending additional paperwork)


5. Waste Connections of Iowa, 4705 NE 22nd St., Des Moines, Iowa  (renewal)


6. Chamness Technology, Inc., d/b/a Green-R-U, 2255 Little Wall Lake Road, Blairsburg, IA  50034 (renewal)


7.  Midwest Bins, LLC, d/b/a Bin There Dump That, 1380 Country Club Blvd., Clive, IA  50325 (renewal)
FISCAL IMPACT: Yes
Each licensee pays the annual license fee of $200.00 to the City of Ankeny, in accordance with Section 111.07 of the City of Ankeny Code of Ordinances.

Approve the issuance of solid waste permits.
