The action before the City Council is the approval of a Professional Services Agreement with HR Green, Inc. for the traffic engineering and survey services needed for the NW Irvinedale Drive & NW 18th Street Intersection Improvements.
Residential growth in the northwest area of the City has contributed to an over-capacity condition at the project intersection. The 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) includes a concept traffic study in 2023 to develop two alternatives - a signalized intersection and a roundabout intersection - and assist the City to select a recommended concept to move forward with design in 2024 and construction in 2025.
HR Green, Inc. has completed other traffic engineering studies for the City, including the 2022 Elementary School Walkability Study. The scope of the traffic engineering and survey services, along with the corresponding fees for these services, are shown in the attached Professional Services Agreement. The total not-to-exceed fee for these services is $107,920.00.
It is recommended that the City Council approve the Professional Services Agreement with HR Green, Inc.
