SUBJECT:
Consider motion to adopt RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor to execute the proposed Cooperative Public Service Agreement between Polk County, Iowa and the City of Ankeny, Iowa, for the routine maintenance of joint jurisdictional (boundary) roadways.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

This resolution will facilitate the agreement between Ankeny and Polk County for the sharing of the routine maintenance responsibilities on the border streets between Ankeny and Polk County.  This agreement is being renewed at this time, as the city and county have a longstanding relationship for sharing maintenance duties on the border streets between the two jurisdictions.  The last time that the agreement was renewed was in November of 2018.

 

The action before the Council is the approval of the Cooperative Public Service Agreement with Polk County.
FISCAL IMPACT: No
There are no monetary costs exchanged between the two public agencies. 
CITY MANAGER'S RECOMMENDATIONS:

It is recommended that the Council take the following action:

 

1. Adopt Resolution authorizing the execution of a Cooperative Public Service Agreement by and between the City of Ankeny and Polk County to facilitate the routine maintenance of joint jurisdictional (boundary) roadways.
