SUBJECT:
Consider motion to set public hearing on an Amendment of Current City Budget for Fiscal Year July 1, 2022 - June 30, 2023 and direct City Clerk to publish notice of such hearing (date of hrg: 05/15/23 @ 5:30 p.m.).
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

The FY 2023 budget amendment includes the following changes:

• Amended revenues include increases in hotel/motel taxes, utility franchise taxes and recreation program fees.  
• Amended expenditures include increases related to acquisition of water territory, hotel/motel tax commitments, operation of Prairie Ridge Sports Complex soccer concessions, purchase and replacement of public safety equipment, refunds and vehicle and equipment repairs and maintenance.

 
FISCAL IMPACT: Yes

Overall, the budget amendment results in no change to the projected ending fund balance at June 30, 2023.
CITY MANAGER'S RECOMMENDATIONS:
Recommend setting a public hearing on the proposed amendment of current city budget for fiscal year July 1, 2022 - June 30, 2023.
