Professional Services Agreement with Bolton & Menk, Inc.

The action before the City Council is the approval of a Professional Services Agreement with Bolton & Menk, Inc., for traffic engineering services needed for theSE Corporate Woods Drive & Crosswinds Drive Traffic Signal

The Public Works Department proposes to use Bolton & Menk, Inc. to complete the necessary traffic engineering design and bid-letting services for the project. The intersection was identified for future signalization with traffic impact studies in 2019 and 2021 for Crosswinds Business Park. Development has proceeded in this area, and the need for the signal is expected in the coming year. The scope of professional services and corresponding fees are shown in the attached Professional Services Agreement.  The total fee for the professional services is $39,000.00. 

It is recommended that the City Council approve the Professional Services Agreement with Bolton & Menk, Inc.

The project is included in the City's 2023 - 2027 Capital Improvement Program, for design in 2023 and construction in 2024. Per a development agreement with Amazon, construction costs will be partially reimbursed. 

Action: <p style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: black;">Consider motion to approve the Professional Services Agreement with Bolton &amp; Menk, Inc., for the traffic engineering services for the SE Corporate Woods Drive &amp; Crosswinds Drive Traffic Signal in an amount not to exceed $39,000.00 and the Mayor to execute said agreement.</span></p>
